Karen completed her City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Embroidery with SST a number of years ago. Karen has since specialised in Stumpwork, Needle Lace and Ruskin Lace – a type of embroidered lace crossing Needle Lace and Counted Thread work – indigenous to the Lake District in the north of England. Karen loves the outdoors and actively takes part in various outdoor UK events.

Note: If you are not a complete beginner when it comes to hand embroidery and you are interested in more advanced accredited hand embroidery courses, then you can choose to undertake an accredited City & Guilds hand embroidery course with Karen or a different instructor of choice. Alternatively you also have the option to sign up to a completely different City & Guilds accredited textile course in a different subject with the London based School of Stitched Textiles.
